WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS 2008

Pacific Resort Aitutaki still best in Australasia Pacific Resort Aitutaki has just won the 2008 World Travel Award for "Australasia's Leading Boutique Resort" and "Cook Islands Leading Resort" for its second consecutive year. The award was announced on the 10th of June at the 2008 World Travel Awards gala ceremony held at the Observatory Hotel in Sydney, Australia, where industry leaders from around the region were present as Eden Hall Pacific Resort's Founder and Chairman together with several of his fellow Directors were on hand to receive this most prestigious award. A delighted Eden Hall had this to say when thanking those who had supported and recognized Pacific Resort Aitutaki's nomination, "We are  very proud to be nominated again and ranked with a field of very fine properties"  The finalists were Bedarra Island in Queensland, Australia,  Blanket Bay, near Queenstown, New Zealand, Aitutaki's near neighbour, Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in French Polynesia, the Claremont Country Estate & Nature Reserve, New Zealand, Double Island, Queensland, Australia  and Taveuni Palms in Fiji".  Eden Hall was also full of praise for the team at Pacific Resort Aitutaki who had shown their ongoing commitment to providing the special service that is Pacific Resort Aitutaki, "it is our people that make all the difference" said Hall. And in a double celebration for the Cook Islands, Aitutaki's "One Foot Island" won recognition as Australasia's Leading Beach. "A big part of what is Aitutaki is One Foot Island" Said Eden Hall, "again we felt fantastic that our fellow finalists included some of the world's best known beaches.  This award also serves tribute to Teina Bishop and all of the people of Aitutaki who are so committed to preserving the beauty and pristine environment that is One Foot Island".
